Door-to-Door Energy Salespeople

Friends,

Yesterday evening, around 8pm, three door-to-door Energy salesmen were knocking on doors on California Ave.  It was late and dark outside.  Residents were suspicious of what they were doing and called the cops.  Windsor Police showed up within minutes and after approximately 30 minutes they directed the salesmen to leave the neighbourhood and off they went.

If you experience this in your neighbourhood, immediately call the police and report it.  According to Windsor Police there has been a lot of suspicious "Energy Salespeople" as of late roaming the streets.

Huron Church Road Closure

Friends, please know that I've been dedicating every hour of every day communicating and relaying the concerns of residents and businesses to the Police, the Mayor's office, and the leadership team at City Hall regarding the ongoing national security situation along Huron Church Rd. Three very recent updates that I'd like to share are the following:  Residents in Sandwich Town taking the Central 3 will be offered free bus passes during this temporary closure; The intersection at Industrial and Northwood has been opened for east/west traffic; and Emergency Services (Fire and Ambulance) will not be delayed or affected by this closure. Police have stated and posted publicly that response times will remain the same.
