See below a message from Leo and Tammy, outreach coordinators at Our West End. There will be a town hall with Windsor Police, the University of Windsor, and local residents and businesses in River West. Hope to see you there!

Hello everyone,

Please find attached an invitation for the community conversation Town Hall residents are leading in the Riverwest neighbourhood in advance of St Patrick’s Day celebrations.  The Riverwest residents have created this event to begin a dialogue with the University of Windsor’s newer Administrators and Windsor Police Services in response to ongoing neighbourhood concerns. 

The Our West End Roundtable is invited to help support the efforts of Riverwest residents who have been working on these issues for over a decade.

We hope you can attend to participate in this moderated discussion and have a chance to connect with the representatives of the University and Windsor Police working on these issues.
Please note this is a smaller group discussion by invitation only.

Huron Church Road Closure

Friends, please know that I've been dedicating every hour of every day communicating and relaying the concerns of residents and businesses to the Police, the Mayor's office, and the leadership team at City Hall regarding the ongoing national security situation along Huron Church Rd. Three very recent updates that I'd like to share are the following:  Residents in Sandwich Town taking the Central 3 will be offered free bus passes during this temporary closure; The intersection at Industrial and Northwood has been opened for east/west traffic; and Emergency Services (Fire and Ambulance) will not be delayed or affected by this closure. Police have stated and posted publicly that response times will remain the same.
