Community Benefits Meeting - Monday, January 21 at 7pm

There will be a meeting this Monday at Cardinal Place regarding community benefits. Please take a look at the email and link below from Sarah Morris, the Windsor Essex Community Benefits Coalition Coordinator. I also have flyers in my office regarding the event.

Hey Fabio, 

This Monday, January 21st, at 7:00 PM, the Coalition will be hosting a neighbourhood meeting at Cardinal Place (3140 Peter St) all about Community Benefits and the new Gordie Howe International Bridge. The Windsor Detroit Bridge Authority will be there to answer questions, update folks on the Bridge and Community Benefits process, and hand out their survey.

    1. The meeting announcement Jan 21 has on the bottom clickable "pass to others" and "Repply to author". Both return Error 404-Google.
    2. I cannot go, but if I were to be present I would ask igf there will be a construction viewing platform,. This will be a significant and interesting construction and there can be spin in many directions, one being a photography. I feel that a close viewing platform would be, indeed appreciated and used.
    3. Unrelated issue-- Fluoride in water. My vote on this industrial poison, really a refuse, to force us to drink is resolute NO!

Huron Church Road Closure

Friends, please know that I've been dedicating every hour of every day communicating and relaying the concerns of residents and businesses to the Police, the Mayor's office, and the leadership team at City Hall regarding the ongoing national security situation along Huron Church Rd. Three very recent updates that I'd like to share are the following:  Residents in Sandwich Town taking the Central 3 will be offered free bus passes during this temporary closure; The intersection at Industrial and Northwood has been opened for east/west traffic; and Emergency Services (Fire and Ambulance) will not be delayed or affected by this closure. Police have stated and posted publicly that response times will remain the same.
