MARCH 2013 NEWSLETTER
~MARCH HAS BEEN VERY BUSY FOR US!  OUR "¢HANGE FOR CHANGE$" CAMPAIGN RAISED $75.74, AND THAT MONEY WENT TO BUY CANNED GOODS FOR A WEST END RESIDENT.
~OUR "ST. PATTY'S EVE CRAWL" ON MARCH 16, TURNED OUT ONLY TWO CRAWLERS, BUT A GREAT TIME WAS HAD ANYWAY!  THE IRISH QUARTER IN OLDE SANDWICH TOWNE ON THE 17TH, WAS A BLAST, AND OF COURSE, WE WERE THERE TO LEND A HAND WORKING GATES, AND REPRESENT!
~RICK NEUFELD FROM WHEELER'S PRINTING DESIGNED OUR LOGO!  WE ARE SO EXCITED TO FINALLY HAVE SOMETHING PEOPLE CAN SEE AND RECOGNIZE AS "WEST END CRAWLERS"!  THIS WILL BE USED ON POSTERS, BUSINESS CARDS, ETC.  CHECK IT OUT ON OUR PAGE!  THANK YOU SO MUCH RICK!!!
~DONATIONS ARE COMING IN FOR OUR CHARITY YARD SALE ON SATURDAY MAY 25TH.  NOTHING OVER $5, AND ALL PROCEEDS GO TO BUY FOOD FOR WEST END AREA FOOD BANKS.  THIS WILL TAKE PLACE AT851 CURRY AVE. FROM 7AM-NOON.  LOTS OF ITEMS SUCH AS TOOLS, TOYS, HOUSEHOLD & KITCHEN ITEMS, AND MORE!
COMING UP IN APRIL, CROSSTOWN PLAYERS WILL BE PERFORMING AT ROCK BOTTOM (UPSTAIRS), THEIR PLAY:

October 4th Council Meeting

Hi friends,  I wanted to provide a brief synopsis of today's Council meeting as there are some items of interest to residents in the west-end.  First, I am happy to report that Council unanimously supported my committee motion not to remove the streetlights at Brock and Sandwich and at Campbell and Grove. There was an administrative report recommending the removal of streetlights at these intersections, among others, and Council supported my motion to keep them there considering there are two grade schools close by at each location.  Second, we were supposed to discuss and debate the Legacy Beacon project and the Festival Plaza Canopy project today. Councillor Gignac put forward a motion to defer these items until administration reported back on a comprehensive report looking at these two projects together with the Civic Esplanade project that is set to come forward at some point in the future.
